Adhesive and Binder Inspection

A textiles manufacturer was struggling to automate the inspection of their products for three different applications: detecting a "binder" on the face (adhesive), checking for the presence or absence of a "selvedge" (velcro edge), and measuring the width of the selvedge after a splitter. The challenges were multiple including black on black inspections with difficult lighting, multiple color variations, and fuzzy texture for the binder detection.
